DAY 1 - TRACK 3 - SESSION 2

All roads lead to Risk – How Internal Audit can drive Ethical Behavior

Level: Intermediate

My presentation ties in directly with topic that I have selected as indicated by the title “All roads lead to Risk – How Internal Audit can drive Ethical Behavior”. The presentation will focus on ethics. It will discuss some key ethical statistics, disruptors necessitating organizational change and some of the top areas for ethics and compliance focus. The track indicates that Risk, Fraud and Ethics, are all key items for internal auditors to understand and build into audit plans. It also indicates that the sessions should provide tried, true and new ideas to look at organizational culture, ethics, fraud risks and how they impact your organization. The presentation will talk directly to the future of ethics and compliance during and beyond the pandemic. Change is coming, ethics and compliance roles, responsibilities and expectations have evolved and progressive organizations look for opportunities to integrate ethics and compliance throughout their organizations to facilitate an ethical and compliant culture. The presentations will look at the future of ethics and compliance in support of the IA topic.

The presentation will also go through an example ethics program review summary to align methodology with real life practicality. The presentation will conclude with what Internal Audit can do to pivot and drive ethical behavior in our organizations.

There is a direct link from the presentation to the topic, and audience members will benefit from a view to the future and how they can support ethical behavior.
