Javed Akbar is a Chief Risk & Governance Officer at a leading Diversified Group, he also contributes to strategy, risk and control through Board and Board Committees. He has been associated with Deloitte, PWC and Protiviti prior to assuming his current role. Javed is a business graduate (MSc.) from University College London, United Kingdom, a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA – Canada) and a Certified Internal Audit (CIA – USA). He has expertise in creating and preserving organizational value by designing and implementing corporate governance, facilitating objective centric risk management and strengthening risk based internal audit/control framework.

He has delivered keynotes and presentations in various largescale Audit, Finance, Risk, Governance & Compliance events in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. Javed enjoys researching, reading, writing and speaking about audit, governance, risk management & technology as well as leadership and employee engagement.
