James Barr, FCPA, FCA, CIA, CRMA, is a partner in KPMG’s Risk Consulting practice with over 25 years of professional service experience providing risk-based advisory and assurance services. James also spent two years as an internal audit manager for a fortune 100 multinational company in New York. James has considerable experience in developing, reviewing/auditing and enhancing risk management programs, and he leads several internal audit outsources and co-sources with clients in many industries. James has presented extensively on risk and internal audit related topics at national conferences of the IIA and the Financial Executive Institute, as well as at numerous IIA chapter events and for other professional associations across Western Canada. James has also presented on risk-related topics to dozens of boards of directors and executive management teams.
