Klassen, Linda

Linda Klassen is results-orientated leader with over 25 years of experience in internal audit, enterprise risk management, governance and finance. She is an effective coach and mentor of both employees and students. She has experienced many successes throughout her career that have led to her current role leading legislative audits as Principal at the Provincial Audit office in Saskatchewan.

Prior to joining Provincial Audit, Linda worked in customer service, finance and internal audit. She created the Internal Audit team at Information Services Corporation (ISC), where she developed processes and risk- based audit plans. She also held the role of Director of Governance and led enterprise risk management, governance/board initiatives for the corporation.
Linda is passionate about people and education; she has been a moderator for the CPA, facilitates for CAAF and IIA. She has presented at local, national events and international events. Linda holds CPA, CMA, CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and CRMA (Certification in Risk Management Assurance) designations.

Linda is actively involved in professional organizations. She has served in the roles of President of the Saskatchewan Chapter of the IIA, Governance Chair and Vice-Chair of Professional Development on the IIA Canada Board.  She is involved with organizing IIA Canada Conferences, both nationally and internationally. Linda has also worked with and chaired the Practise Advancement committee for the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors.
