James Murray, CIA, CDPSE, CISA, CGEIT, CPA, CA is a nationally recognized practitioner and speaker, with 30+ years of experience in providing IT governance, risk and audit services to private and public sector clients. As a subject matter expert on auditing 3rd Party Services, he has successfully guided both vendors and customers in mitigating and managing outsourcing risks. James was a member of the CPA Canada (formerly CICA) Service Organization Task Force that was responsible for drafting Canadian Service Organization audit standards CICA Section 5970 and CSAE 3416.
In addition to being a Certified Internal Auditor, he is also a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant, and is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT. His thought leadership contributions have included speaking at national and regional internal audit and risk management events, as well as having held roles on the following professional committees and boards:
