Jasbir has 20 years of experience working for the Government of Canada as a technical writer, IT auditor, IT specialist, data analyst, and now project leader of data analysis innovation in the Audit, Evaluation, and Risk Branch at the Canada Revenue Agency.

He currently oversees machine learning and natural language processing efforts to gather assurance and advisory intelligence from structured and unstructured data. Some of Jasbir’s relevant writings and speaking engagements include: co-authoring the article, “The Data Museum” (Internal Auditor Magazine, April 2017), delivering an online webinar entitled, “It Belongs in a Museum! A Data-Driven Culture for Internal Audit at the Canada Revenue Agency” (IIA Canada Webinar Series, September 2018), and presenting “Interview Your Data With SQL To Gather Assurance and Advisory Intelligence” (IIA Canada National Conference, 2019).

He earned his Certified Information Systems Auditor designation in 2009, and he holds bachelor’s degrees in software engineering, biotechnology, and education from the University of Ottawa and University of Western Ontario.
