Van Ballegooijen, Rob

Rob is a Senior Manager in the KPMG’s Technology Risk Consulting practice, where he specializes in emerging technology risk and IT governance. Rob has provided IT risk professional services across industries including public sector, retail, manufacturing as well as financial institutions. He has performed IT risk reviews and provided insights in an internal audit capacity and also as external advisor. He regularly provides insights in emerging technology risk at round tables and conferences. In addition, he leveraged his experience from the Netherlands and helped initiate the Agile Internal Audit function in Canada. He developed the thought-ware and methodology to be utilized at clients across Canada.

Rob has a background in IT Risk consulting in terms of external and internal IT audits, IT risk reviews and IT risk design engagements. He joined KPMG the Netherlands in 2011 and is currently a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Technology Risk Consulting practice in Canada, since 2016. He provides various IT risk advisory services. Rob has profound experience in IT risk management and governance, related to information security management, IT project risk and process optimization. In his role, he offers a unique perspective on efficiency, quality and risk. In addition, he has extensive experience in IT internal audits, not only to perform audits, but also support in developing the internal audit plan and internal audit methodology.
